A BRIEF HISTORY OF ........
Everything started in 1979.,Georgie Rockwood found Jesus Christ in 1979 after attending a "HAPPENING" christian retreat for the youth groups of the central Florida Episcopal church's.
Later that year Georgie's faith even deepened more after attending a JESUS 79 festival in Orlando Fla.,after hearing the powerful messages of Keith Green,Paul Clark,Evie & Degarmo & Key Band at the festival!!!!
Georgie had this floundering idea to start a band that would bring honour,praise & glory to Jesus Christ & mesh together the sounds of lush keyboards/synths/acoustic guitars & percussions.
What wants to do is bring people's heart to a place of worship & bring them back on their knees to the altar........
as for the name ..."as Christians,we're always "apart from the crowd"....& Jesus preached to the crowds,,He fed the crowd of 5 thousand.........
You can catch Georgie & Wayne as part of the rhythm section at the Lumber City Church Of God praise & worship band in Lumber City Georgia....us Pentacostals luv to shout/dance & praise GOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
